My name is Roy. I have been in the creative field for three decades now and find a new depth of love for it every year. It is what I do and think about all the time. I am going to be using my blog as a place to express this passion, feature examples of my work, my resume, my observations in the marketplace, and stories about me.
My wife Laura is Mexican American... with a bit of Italian in her blood too. She is a great source of inspiration to me and my life would be dull without her. My children are Carson, Sarah, Bethany, and Hailey. I am lucky to be their dad and have four kids that are so remarkable.
I am currently an Interactive Brand & Creative Strategist with one of the largest interactive marketing firms in the U.S.. Prior to this I was the Brand Strategist and then Creative Director, Western Region, for Temel, Inc. For the most part, I lead, execute, and implement brand strategy programs and use all the available tools online (and offline) to garner a measurable ROI for my clients. I lead teams in monitoring the conversations people have about brands online to garner the insight needed to make smarter decisions. I conduct all-day brand workshops and delve into the scientific stuff around a brand. In addition, I assist our sales teams and speak to website usability and strategy, creative development and execution, brand strategies, and also give occasional lectures on all of the above topics. Did I forget anything?
As for now, onto mapping out a game plan for this blog.
